OTHER CATEGORIES
All small silver coins in denominations of 4d, 3d, 2d, and 1d made after 1816 are listed below with the exception of circulating threepence pieces. The latter can be found in the SMALL SILVER category. While circulating threepences had the same appearance as Maundy threepences for a period of over 90 years (from 1834 until 1926), the two types can be distinguished by the strike qualities which produced different finishes on the coin surfaces. There were also some colonial issues of twopence pieces during the reign of Victoria. The latter are included in the list below because it is not clear which dates were made for circulation in the British colonies apart from 1838. A few select years saw the inclusion of Maundy coins in Proof sets made to commemorate the crowning of a new monarch. It is generally impossible to tell the difference between the real Maundy coins from the ones put in sets. The value of sets from these particular years are lower due to increased total mintage.

| 1818 | S-3792 | This set is a scarce date to be sure. Fourpence: EF... threepence: gEF... twopence: Unc... penny: Unc. The values in the catalogues don't reflect the low mintages. | $375.00 | PIC | |
| 1885 | S-3916 | Unc    Richly toned coins in an old-looking red oblong Maundy box. The box is old and shows its age well with stains and wear inside and out. It has the words "THE ROYAL MAUNDY MONEY" embossed on the lid, and the lining inside is red, not the usual black or purple. | $275.00 | PIC 1

| 1900 | S-3943 | FDC   Coins are displayed in a small red oblong case with the royal coat of arms, the date, and "MAUNDY MONEY." embossed on the lid. The velvet is more blue than purple, and the satin lining inside the lid is also blue. The coins have some toning, and look like they could use a dip. The fourpence has a streak across the last two digits of the date; it is not a scratch. The box closes with a small round clasp on the front. | $250.00 | PIC 1

| 1903 | S-3985 | Unc   Spectacular set! Dated hinged case is oblong and black with an embossed crown on the lid. Velvet is purple, satin is pale blue. The coins are perfect with gold and deep blue toning. I have seen a couple of other 1903 sets in the same kind of case, so I speculate the case is authentic for this given year. | offer | PIC 1
