S-3452 William & Mary | F+/F A bold, corrosion-free example, scarce as such. Double-struck. Purchased from Colin Cooke. Weight 10.0 grams. | $150.00 | PIC
S-3556 William III | fair-Fine Lacking sharpness in the strike. Flan flaw around TER in TERTIVS. Might have had some verdigris to the right of Britannia. Looks nicer in person. | $30.00 | PIC
S-3660 | F-VF Actual coin shows more detail on the portrait's high points than the scan portrays. There are some obvious clash marks on the obverse in front of the King. Weight 8.6 grams. | $80.00 | PIC
S-3717 | VF   "GEOGIVS" on obverse. No stop after BRITANNIA (typical for this type). Weight 9.9 grams. | $270.00 | PIC
S-3717 | VF   Reverse legend reads BRITLNNIL, with what appear to be inverted V's in place of A's. While this substitution is quite possible, it is also possible that the missing bars are the result of die wear. The lettering on the reverse is shorter and wider than normal. Weight 8.7 grams. | $175.00 | PIC close-up 1 close-up 2

S-3662 stop AFTER wreath | nVF  The stop is to the right of the leaves in the King's wreath. Compare to the next coin (below). The scan of this coin shows that it is in actually very nice condition. The surfaces are very dark but not porous, and the high points are light, though not from abrasion or cleaning. This high contrast gives the coin a salt-and-pepper look that is distracting but not altogether too unpleasant. Weight 4.8 grams. | $90.00 | PIC
S-3662 stop BEFORE wreath | gFine  The stop is to the left of the leaves in the King's wreath and GEORGIVS looks very scruched up. While not listed in the Spink catalogue, prominent British coin dealer Colin Cooke classifies this variety as "extremely rare" (www.colincooke.com). This particular coin also features a "3-legged Britannia" and a nearly illegible date as the result of some strong doubling. A very enignmatic and rare coin for the specialist collector. Compare to the previous example (above). Weight 4.1 grams. | $175.00 | PIC
| 1773 | S-3775 | EF+  Common date but uncommonly high grade. Has some residual lustre that does not show in the scans but comes through in the smaller webcam images (PIC 2). Dots on King's face are either the Plague (his madness?) or die wear. Weight 5.1 grams. Worth a staggering £185 according to Spink. | $225.00 | PIC 1
