1968 Ottawa Souvenir Dollar
| Unc  A large brass token 38mm in diameter but much thicker than the 1967 coin above. Issued by the Ottawa West Jaycees and redeemable at local businesses. Parliament is shown only in outline, but the reverse features some neat artwork. | $1.25 | PIC |
1970 Ottawa Souvenir Dollar

1976(?) Olympic souvenir
|   See the image of the actual coin. I think these were issued by a sponsor of the 1976 Montreal Olympics, but for what purpose is unknown to me. 31mm in diameter and composition unknown. | $2.00 | PIC |
1984 Pope John Paul II Montreal visit
|   "Celebrate Our Faith". Nickel(?) medal commemorating Pope John Paul's visit to Montreal from September 10-12, 1984. Fields show many small contact marks. Diameter 32mm and weight 13.0 gr. | $2.00 | PIC |
no date All Sports Centre tokens |   Four tokens issued by a (now defunct?) sporting goods retailer. The first two coins (24mm dia.) have the words "Don Koharski's All Sports Centre" on one side and a referee's jersey on the other side. The name on the jersey is KOHARSKI. Another token has the same design but is slightly larger (see picture). Another token lacks Don Koharski's name on both sides and the word KANATA replaces his name on the jersey. The latter piece is more tarnished than the others. None of the tokens have a date or denomination and I have no idea what purpose they served. I cannot kind any reference to this business in the phone book or online. Don Koharski is a NHL referee with a career that goes back to the 1970s. | $2.00/ each | PIC |
1987(apx) Royal Canadian Mint souvenir coin
| BU  I purchased this circa 1987 on a tour of the Royal Canadian Mint. Shows the Ottawa building on one side, the Winnipeg facility on the other. Struck in copper and measures 35mm in diameter. I think these coins are still being made to this day, but am unsure. | $2.00 | PIC |
| 1997 United Kingdom: Uncirculated set | BU  Lovely presentation set of nine British circulating coins, including the new £2 bimetallic piece. Nice craftmanship as this set folds out like a book and can be displayed. I could not scan all of it! There's so much to see, it puts Canadian Mint products to shame. Close to $10 face value alone. | $20.00 | PIC 1
