PRIVACY STATEMENT

     I, the owner of "give-a-buck.com", take your privacy rights very seriously. In fact, I always took the privacy rights of other individuals seriously, well before the recent enactment of federal privacy legislation in Canada. I promise I will never use your personal information for commercial benefit or sell your information to other individuals or corporations. I don't collect personal information at all. The only information I have about anybody who visits this site is the information individuals choose to reveal when they write to me via email or when they fill out online forms found on this website. It is up to you, the individual, to take responsibility for what information you choose to reveal about yourself when using an email program. Many people are unaware of how cetain settings within these software programs function. Please refer to the help guides or owner instructions that accompany your software to learn how to take control of your personal information. Other online resources are available too; it's up to you, the individual, to make an effort.

     When you place an order for merchandise on my website, certain information is necessary for me to be able to give you an accurate invoice for monies owed. Notice that on my order forms, only your email address and your country are necessary pieces of information. I need an email address to which to send correspondences, and a country to know where items are being shipped to. The rest of the information for which I ask is not necessary. The information you choose to provide will not be revealed to anyone else. Information stored by default on my computer is protected by antivirus software and a firewall provided by my internet service provider (ISP). I cannot absolutely guarantee that third parties will not forcefully and illegally access my computer via hacking. I do not keep personal information in separate files for my use. I try to erase old email correspondences and other details from my email address book. I do not solicit my services to anyone who doesn't want to have any such solicitations.
